Publish Christian Fiction for Young People (6-YA): Led by Janet Wilson
How and why is publishing for children different from publishing for adults? Why is it important? In this webinar, we will be looking at what’s so special about publishing for young people, with practical information you can implement immediately.
Our children are precious and the enemy wants to steal their joy, their faith, and their very lives. Excellent, relevant, fun Christian books are valuable tools in the hands of the Lord to encourage and inspire this new generation. Will you take up the challenge? The webinar is led by Janet Wilson.
Seeing a gap in the market for Christian fiction for kids and teens, Janet Wilson set up Dernier Publishing specifically to produce Christian fiction for young people. In response to requests for help from new authors, she also runs the resource Write for a Reason, which equips writers of fiction for the younger generation.
Janet believes that every child deserves to have access to fun Christian stories that share the good news of Jesus, and works towards that aim. She lives with her husband and extended family on the very edge of London, where the urban landscape turns into fields and trees. Janet is also an MAI-Europe Trustee.
Clara Muruga and her husband, Murage, serve in Kenya with the youth ministry DIRECT (Discipleship Inspired Revival thru Evangelism and Character Training). They have published two books and written several others awaiting publication. Clara’s all-consuming purpose is to disciple young people, especially women, to become all that God intended them to be. The couple has two daughters, Hadassah, 12, and Meek, 8.
